This hotel oozes with unique character and style, is in the heart of the town and the manager is amongst the most helpful I have ever come across. We loved the atrium-style lobby (the central photo for the hotel) the bar stools made to look like champagne cork enclosures and the bedrooms with their unique themes, big comfortable bed and very cool bathrooms. The manager (Owner?) directed me to the perfect bar to watch the international rugby, the ideal route to go out for a run and even told us about the best place to visit when we moved on down to the Mediterranean coast, a fishing village that was simply beautiful and that I am not sure we would have found without is advice. Wish we could have stayed longer!! Highly recommend, but be warned, parking nearby is a challenge and I can imagine it gets much worse during spring and summer.

Great Place to Stay

Fascinating old building, lots of character. Room large and pleasant. Good buffet breakfast. Only niggle was that there was only one rather small pillow each - fine for my wife (and presumably, many others) but I really missed having another. I did ask, but it seemed that the, otherwise very helpful and friendly, staff couldn't find one. Apart from that, we very much enjoyed our stay. The free local buses are a bonus if you're travelling by train - it's quite a long walk from the station!

Pour acceder a l’hotel en voiture est un sacrĂ© b
.. avec le fait de devoir demander l’acces a la police municipale pour faire abaisser les plots afin d’accĂ©der a la rue pietonne permettant de rejoindre l’hotel. Le dit L’hotel indique posseder un parking en specifiant meme avoir un voiturier et quand vous arrivez sur place on vous annonce que pour vous garer vous devez aller a 500 m a vol d’oiseau sur le parking public avec lequel ils ont un partenariat. J’ai des choses sensibles dans la voiture et de devoir faire le chemin a pieds sous la pluie n'Ă©tait pas ce que j’avais prĂ©vu. J’ai donc annulĂ© mon sejour et quel n’est pas ma surprise de voir que l’hotel a quand meme prĂ©levĂ© le montant de la nuit . Je ne recommande pas
