SUMMARY
Welcome to our beautifully renovated 1950's cottage- ideally located in a historic area of downtown Anchorage. The "Chinook" is a prime location! 5 minute walk to the Park Strip, Valley of the Moon Park, Chester Creek Trail. 5 minute drive to Anchorage Train Depot (Alaska Railroad), 5 minute drive from Ted Stevens International Airport. Come enjoy all the beauty Alaska has to offer!

INTERIOR HIGHLIGHTS
Bedroom has black out shades so our guests can rest peacefully during our longs days of summer sunshine. Kitchen is well-appointed and fully equipped with cutlery, pots, pans, gas stove, coffee maker, microwave, etc. Smart TV for your subscribed networks and FREE WIFI.

Onsite, shared washer/dryer for your laundering needs . Overflow shared storage for bikes, camping gear, luggage, fishing and hunting gear.

PROPERTY LAYOUT
This cottage has 2 separate units- the "Kobuk" and the "Chinook". Each unit has a private, secured and separate entrance. Both consist of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen and living area. Your unit, the “Chinook”, is the lower unit. Both units can be rented together to accommodate 4-6 guests. We are flexible with what we can offer you, if you have a specific need, let us know prior to your stay.

******Please note: There are exterior stairs to the private entry of this lower unit. This may be challenging for individuals with mobility issues*********

OUTDOOR + OTHER FEATURES
Large, secured storage and RV or Boat parking upon request for additional fee.
Kayaks and paddle board available for rental fee, upon availability. Just ask!

PARKING
Assigned parking at the rear of the property or use the ample, free street parking at the front of the property.

OUR POLICIES
- Person booking the reservation must be 1 of the 2 guests
- No smoking!
- No events, parties or large gatherings
- Must be at least 25 years old to book
- Pets UPON APPROVAL for stays longer than 2 weeks. Approval of pet must be made PRIOR to check-in or your stay will be cancelled and no refund will be issued. Minimum, additional cleaning fee of $250.00 will apply for pets.
- Photo ID may be required upon check-in
- After 10:00 PM, please observe quiet hours.
-Long term renting may be considered prior to booking and prior to check-in.

Nice place in Anchorage, in good neighborhood

There are some places as we walked through Anchorage that made us feel uneasy due to homeless population and sketchy looking area but this neighborhood was not a part of that. We felt safe. The rental was very comfortable and had pretty much everything we needed (bring salt and pepper). We enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy. We have a large truck, a Chevy silverado 2500 work truck and was able to park out front with no issues. The host is excellent. I did have to contact her during the stay was answered back within minutes. Great communication! It was also nice to have a washer and dryer. Do not hesitate to stay here while in Anchorage.

Good respite from traveling.

Perfect size for a couple. Very clean. We had a problem with the smoke alarm going off when we cooked bacon, but there was a screen so we could open the door. I would definitely book this property again.

Very nice, clean, comfortable and updated unit. A few things would make the stay more accommodating, such as kitchen staples, salt and pepper, cooking oil, microwave safe dishes. It would also be nice to have an iron.

Great Location

First and foremost the communication with this owner is outstanding. It is such a good feeling to know someone is actually paying attention to their property and not just renting a house to collect a check. The central location of this property is a huge plus. It's also in a very nice, very quiet neighborhood. Street parking was not an issue at all. The amenities were super nice. Basically a full kitchen, with all the cooking and dining equipment that you could think of. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and stocked with plenty of towels. A washer and dryer was also very nice to have as we were actually on a multiple stay trip. This place is perfect for two. We were visiting multiple friends in Anchorage and this location could not have been better for what we needed. We were very pleased with literally every aspect of our stay.

We had the best stay here! It was a great location— walking distance to a lot of great spots in Anchorage (including a super cute coffee shop), and a great home base for trips to Seward and Girdwood. The host was incredibly communicative and accommodating, and the condo is updated and had everything we needed- Including laundry!

Stephanie is an incredibly warm, welcoming host with great suggestions on local restaurants and places to visit. The house is super cute, well kept, and close to downtown Anchorage. We spent a week here and were sad to leave.

This property was PERFECT for us. Located close to downtown (next to a park and walking trail), nice size and VERY clean. Everything you need. The bed was like a dream -- and I don't say that lightly -- such a comfortable mattress. Stephanie was awesome, even when called at 1:30pm when our flight came in and the Vrbo app wasn't working so we couldn't get the code to get in! Before our stay she provided us with lots of recommendations when asked and was super responsive. Snap this one up if you get the chance!
