I'm unfamiliar with other hotels in the area, but this would not be considered a 4-star in the USA. I had issues with getting through to the staff. Food options were not available after 10pm even though the restaurant has a restaurant. It was disappointing there was no room service. I hung towels to reuse, as instructed in the room manual, but my towels were removed each day and one time it was taken away with a piece of clothing that I had to request to be returned, which they did very dirty when most hotels would have done a complimentary laundry service for taking away and soiling an article of clothing.

Monet Garden Amsterdam was exceptional! The staff were wonderful - helpful and kind. The room was nicely appointed with a lovely view of the canal…the linens were clean and cosy and the bed firm and comfortable! Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of foods! We will stay here again!

The Most important thing we loved about this hotel was the staff who worked there. We interacted with at least six of them to help us resolve problems and they were all excellent! They were warm, empathetic and thorough in their responses. The often went well beyond what we expected, especially including unexpectedly having to extend our stay and resolving problems with the airport when we had to reschedule. Their cooperativeness existed no matter what staff we dealt with. The hospitality reception people, the restaurant staff, the evening people, the overnight people, and the cleaning staff. We felt fortunate to have such wonderful people to assist us in all aspects of our stay but especially when I felt ill on the evening of our last day. If we ever returned Amsterdam, we would certainly book this hotel again. We highly recommend them!

Perfect few days in a lovely hotel

We had an amazing day from start to finish. The service was great we had buffet breakfast one morning, which was lovely. Walking distance to station and trams. Lovely decor throughout. Canal view room was a great touch.
