This hotel is very convenient for public transport links. It is therefore easy to get to around the city and see the sights. Staff very friendly and helpful. They made suggestions for places to visit and eat. The room I was in was very spacious and had a view of the train station. The trams do rumble as they pass the hotel but that is to be expected but they do get less frequent and stop running at night. However if you are a light sleeper you may want a room away from the front .

The service was above and beyond, particularly the concierge who check us in, Anna. She made us feel welcome and excited to stay at this location and offered wonderful dining suggestions. The rest of the staff was very kind, professional and made it one of the highlights of our time in Amsterdam.

Fantastic hotel, avoid the parking

Nice quirky hotel with great central location. Friendly staff on arrival and quick and informative check in. We opted for no room cleaning and were given a bottle of wine in return. Had lunch in the bar one day. Great food and the bar manager was super friendly and nice to talk to. It’s a little dark everywhere which I think is apart of the “Art Experience”, so funky but not very practical. Only 2 downsides. The sound on the TV was very muffled due to it being mounted behind glass. Made some channels impossible to watch. The parking arrangements are worth avoiding. There is no onsite parking so the “external valet” takes the car a few miles away and you have to pay if you want it returned during your stay. We didn’t know their was a 2 hour notice to have the car return, this messed up our departure and we missed our shopping in France. €40 a day too. Aside from that it’s a really nice hotel with a different experience.
