Location is a potential detriment, by comparison to Hyatt. Quality of Food, a typical Swiss Dish of Kalbsgeschnitzeltes und Rösti, was a disaster. Having evidence of mold/ mildew around the shower tiles, is a sad testimonial for the name of Hilton. All stated, I would never stay there again. This is my first stay at Hilton Zürich Airport, for a comparative to Hyatt, which I normally stay. Tried something different.

Since my flight is in the morning, I decided to book a room here in hope that it will be convenient for us to get up in the morning and go. However, its location is very inconvenient. First, it is not close enough to walk to any of the bus station or the airport if you have multiple luggages. Second of all, the shuttle bus will charge you 5 CHF per person per ride. I have never been asked to pay for a shuttle bus to the airport when I booked a hotel specifically because it is very close to the airport. Lastly, 1 of the driver seems to hate his job for the 2 times that I saw him. He also spoke very little English while most of the customers using this service are international travelers that do not speak German (Almost everyone that I talked to during this trip can speak fluent English and you cannot find someone who can speak good enough English and a good attitude?). The shuttle bus can only take about 11 people at a time and there is no system to show who came first when more than 11 people are waiting. So the driver just picked the groups that can fit first. This means you are at the mercy of the driver if you are trying to catch a flight. I really like my trip to Switzerland and I enjoyed touring Zurich. However, I will just stay at a hotel that is close to Zurich HB (main train station) next time. It is close to the attractions and there is a train to the airport that takes 15 minutes every 6 minutes in the morning. So much more convenient this way.

Stayed here for a night. I got there at 11 and asked if I could stow my luggage until check in at 3 and Carlos at the front desk was able to accommodate an early check in which was a huge convenience to me as I was tired and needed sleep. Hotel has an adequate gym and a nice sauna and steam room which I enjoyed after a workout. Room was spacious and clean. The restaurant was priced well and the view of the airport from the restaurant was unique. Not far from Zurich center so if you have a few extra hours to explore you won’t have much hassle. Big fan of Zurich will be back next year
