The location was very good and getting in and out of the property with a snap. Unfortunately, the swimming pool and hot tub were not functioning during our stay. Management was very apologetic and there’s nothing the staff can do about it so that’s really neither here or there. Breakfast is very spartan- boiled eggs, bagels, and cereal. There was a major storm our first night which caused a significant leak in the bedroom window. We were moved to in nearly identical room immediately. The staff were all fantastic; they were very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. It’s not a perfect hotel but it is definitely worth staying in for a day or two.

The room was clean. The bed comfortable. Was not told at front desk that elevator by our room was out of order. Carrying bags up stairs to 3rd floor was not easy. Bathroom needs a handle to make it easier to slide.

Please fix the pool

Mostly great...the swimming pool is out of commission until further notice and that blows everything else that was done well out of the water.

We've been staying at Ashmore for years, and have selected it for convenience, cleanliness, comfy beds and a HOT breakfast. We travel through Amarillo often because our daughter and family live in Denver area. No more hot breakfast. Even the coffee, 1st thing in the morning, was not hot and was like colored water. That day, we went out for breakfast and hot, strong coffee. 2nd night, a storm came up and it rained in our room on the 1st floor. All those lovely renovations, but they forgot to seal around the windows! This happened at 11:30 @ night, so we just toughed it out and put a trash can, towels on the window sill. Not a great impression! Went out again for a hot breakfast, hot strong coffee. We'll probably be shopping for our new, favorite hotel in Amarillo.

Horrible stay

Pool and hot tub were out of service, Elevator was out of service, Door to the bathroom in our room stuck so bad an elderly person could easily be trapped inside. Breakfast consisted of cereal, boiled eggs, watered down juice and begals. They offered breakfast sandwiches for sale at 5+ dollars each. Breakfast staff were rude. I am a Hilton Honors member. I have stayed at many Hilton properties over the years, this one is a discrace.

No pool

I booked this hotel as traveling with grandkids and wanting an indoor pool. BUT pool is shut down!?!?! I did ask if we could go swim at another property and they sent us to another Spark to swim. I wish they would let you know ahead that pool is out of order! This happened last year at another hotel here in Amarillo.

The room was nice and clean, not very spacious but adequate. Staff were friendly and the property looked nice. The room had a funny smell, the bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the water temperature in the shower would fluctuate between hot and cold on its own.
