Una Finestra Sul Porto is a 5th-floor penthouse (with lift), just a few metres from Alghero’s lively port and fascinating historical heart. This airy modern apartment sleeps up to 4 guests. Guests can enjoy the sunny terrace with views across the bay to Capo Galera beyond. It is an ideal holiday base from which to explore this region of Sardinia with its vibrant city life and gorgeous beaches.

The apartment is cool and breezy thanks to the terracotta tiled floors and the large glass doors that open onto the terrace, letting in the sea breeze. The main living space is furnished with a sofa, an open fireplace and a dining table. There is a second dining table out on the terrace for meals al fresco. The separate kitchen is fitted with a cooker hob, microwave, Moka coffee maker, kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer.

Location
The apartment is a 2-minute stroll from Alghero’s historic centre, and 10 minutes from the city’s beach. The location is extremely convenient as guests have everything on their doorstep. Alghero has a fascinating collection of architecture, from the ancient walls that encircle the city, to the 16th century cathedral. The city is home to a wide range a beautiful churches, museums and palaces, making it a great destination at any time of year. A stroll around the port area is a rewarding experience, especially if it involves lunch or dinner at one of the many delicious, local restaurants.

Alghero is blessed with many fine beaches. There are several beautiful beaches further north between the city and Porto Conte. Some are well equipped with cafés, sun loungers and water sports facilities, others are wilder and less crowded. Spiaggia di Mugoni (25-minute drive) is particularly good for families with children, thanks to its gently sloping sand and clear seas.

For self-catering the best and freshest local produce is available at the Mercato Civico Alghero (a 10-minute walk), by the walls of the old town. Alternatively, there are two supermarkets less than a 5-minute walk away.

Alghero airport is 15 minutes away.
