Excellent stay really nice hotel with great breakfast and plenty of sun loungers around pools, it’s up a hill around a 10 minute walks from McDonalds , the bus operates a bus service to old town new town and beech this is free and runs every hour in summer up to around 6pm

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened Viceroy Ombria Algarve, and it exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome—genuinely friendly, attentive, and always eager to help without being intrusive. The architecture is truly a standout feature: modern yet rooted in the local aesthetic, with beautiful design touches throughout that made the entire property feel luxurious and unique. The pools were absolutely incredible—serene, well-designed, and perfect for relaxing under the Algarve sun. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, and every space feels modern and updated, clearly reflecting the care that went into its recent opening. We also spent some time at the spa, which was nothing short of perfection. From the ambiance to the quality of treatments, it was a top-tier wellness experience. The on-site restaurants were also excellent. Each meal we had was flavorful and beautifully presented, with a variety of options that catered to both local and international palates. One important note for future guests: the hotel is located in the countryside, so it’s a good 30–45 minutes by car to the coastal Algarve towns and beaches. A rental car is definitely recommended if you plan to explore beyond the resort. Great food, very clean

Great little hotel on the edge of old town. Breakfast is available for purchase but the Pastelaria across the street is amazing…don’t miss out on the pastel de nata and espresso! Everything is completely walkable and we had the best time there! Faro is small town friendly and we’ve never felt safer walking streets and back alleys at night. Take the tuk tuk tour to get an overview of the area and pay attention to the guide…he was a living history book and we had a great idea of what we wanted to see and in what order afterwards. Faro was amazing, you won’t regret your visit or this hotel.

Perfect location, Lots of restaurants around, very nice and clean bedroom, lovely breakfast, and nice staff. More than 4*.

I highly recommend getting a massage. 30 minutes is only 34 euro. Buffett breakfast was excellent, lots of options. Overall, exceptional place to stay.
