I stayed for one night and overall the hotel itself was comfortable. However, I had a disappointing experience during breakfast. I was not able to finish my meal and wrapped a small sandwich to leave on the table. A staff member approached me in a very unfriendly manner, raising her voice and treating me as though I was doing something wrong. She insisted on charging me for a box, which I agreed to, but her tone was unnecessarily rude. Later, while I was still eating, she came again and took my plate away without asking. I understand hotels may have policies about food during breakfast, but the way this situation was handled felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Better communication and more courteous service would make a big difference.

Independence Matters

Everything you would hope and expect an Independent hotel would be. - great spaces - breakfast team worked like unintrusive clock work (Team 🇹🇭 👍 👌) - friendly and helpful reception staff - great furnishings and artwork - relaxed - perhaps not for you if you like Chain Hotel vibes. I don't, but thats just my choice.

Great hotel. Lovely large room only let down by a bathroom so small my knees were against the door when using the wc. Heated floor in bathroom is wonderful.
