Guia is a parish (freguesia) in the municipality (concelho) of Albufeira in the district of Faro (Algarve).
The village is located on the national road EN125 north-west of Albufeira. It is known as Capital do Frango (the chicken capital), because of the restaurants specializing in Chicken Piri Piri, spicy chicken from the charcoal grill - a gastronomic heritage from Mozambique. Expanding holiday resorts are spreading on both sides of the road to Albufeira.
Along the coast west of Albufeira the beautiful beaches Praia do Galé, Praia dos Salgados and Praia do Manuel Lourenço are situated against the backdrop of large holiday resorts and hotels.
