I would not recommend. I've stayed at several properties in the Aiken area, and this was the most disappointing.1) NOT Clean: the kitchen was filthy. Appliances were greasy and had crumbs. Garbage can and the side of the cabinet was smeared. Hall bath smelled like dirty rag. Both beds in the twin room had sand spurs in the bed linens (ouch!)2) NOT Well-Maintained: the furniture was shabby, chipped, even ripped, and looked pieced-together from a garage sale. The towels were old and thin. Extra blankets in the closet looked worn and dirty. The smoke detector in the master hung from wires, clearly not working. The provided door key was unpredictable - did not always work. One rainy, cold night it took us 10 minutes to unlock the top lock. The door needs a coded entry to make access easier.3) NOT Comfortable: The hot water did not work the first 2 days. We contacted the host on day 3 and it was fixed quickly after that, but it seems like host had not even turned on the hot water before we complained. Seating in family room not adequate for our group as it offered just 2 chairs and a love seat (only 4 could watch the TV). No garbage bags provided (despite stating so) and only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. The glassware had the tags still on. No shoe rack at door for our boots.A positive is the location. Otherwise, this property needs an overhaul. I can't figure out the basis for the positive reviews.
