Relax with the whole family at this peaceful home set on 34 acres. Stunning views of the Clarendon township. Sit on the deck and watch the native birds frollick in 100 year old gum trees. Or take a walk around the 34 acres, checking out the cave on the cliffs, spotting for koalas or counting how many kangaroos you can see as you walk along the winter creek. Kids can hold the chickens and see the sheep. 1km to Clarendon township and less than 10min drive to nearest shopping centre.
The space
This country feel home is located on 34 acres of wooded land. So there is plenty of space to enjoy nature. Go for a walk through the trees on gentle slopes or if you are up for it, wander down to the winter creek and climb the cliffs and check out the cave on the hill.
If you prefer to stay close to comforts there is a large covered deck where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view. You will really get the feeling you are away from the hustle and bustle of suburban life.
Our home is suited to families with children. Young children can ride bikes (bikes and helmets provided, please let us know if you want to use bikes and children's ages so we can have them out for you). Older children can explore the property or play at the dam (adult supervision required, boat and kayak provided, BYO life jackets/pdfs).
We have a range of toys, books and board games for use in the home as well as a Wii with a large selection of games/sports discs. The Smart TV has a chrome cast and there is a selection of DVDs. Netflix is available on request.
Clarendon township is 1 km down the road (2min drive) and a major shopping centre (Aberfoyle Hub) is less than 10min drive so you can pop to the shops if you forgot the milk and get anything you may need.
There are many wineries nearby, Hickinbotham and Watkins both within 5 mins drive.
The Clarendon township is a lovely little town with renouned delicious bakery, antique shop, general store, Op shop and park with bench seat and creek.
The Happy Valley reservoir is 8 mins by car and is a beautiful spot for walks, fishing, kayaking and exploring nature.
Onkaparinga National Park and Scott Creek Conservation park are both approx 15mins drive which have interesting walking trails.
The closest beach is 20mins easy drive. Beach towels available on request.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire house. As it is situated on a working farm, we may be on site to do work in the sheds, orchard or out in the fields but we can discuss your preferences with you before or during your stay. If you want to have a farm experience, then you are welcome to join us in some farm activities such as feeding the chickens and sheep and collecting eggs. If you prefer an uninterrupted stay, then we will aim to keep out of sight if we need to undertake any animal care. You will have the entire house and surrounding lawned areas to yourself regardless of what you prefer.

We have Dunlopillo pillows in the main bedroom.
Use of washing machine/detergent, bikes, toys and activities are all included in your stay.
