When i first arrived I got a bit of a shock with the surroundings as looks like a building site and just a bit dodgy overall, i hadn't realised i could park right outside the door and had parked a bit along from it. As i was walking towards the hotel An old woman drove past me shouting 'You've blocked my driveway!!' (which i hadn't) so i explained i was just away to find my hotel to check in and then i would move my car, her response was 'If I was you I wouldn't be staying there!!' then drove off. So i was instantly very apprehensive about staying in the hotel. After a phonecall i was greeted by a young man and he showed me to my room, i am actually owe him an apology as i was now very negative about staying and accepting the room, he was very calm and polite and reassured me the hotel was completely safe to stay. So i moved my car to right outside the door where it was very safe until the morning. The room wasn't spotless but it wasn't dirty (apart from the skirting boards, they all need a good wash down)
I had a good night's sleep as it was very quiet, the mattress was a bit lumpy and needs replacing.
The continental breakfast was lovely.
So there are good points and bad points about this place.
Would i stay again....... probably.
Some of the photos are very misleading, this is maybe how it looked 5 or 10 years ago.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Comfy and clean but in need of tlc
The room was comfortable and clean but the building could use some tlc. It’s less a hotel, more a bed and breakfast with cereal and toast available in the morning. There was no one theret when we arrived so we rang a telephone number on the wall and we were told which rooms were ours. There is no reception but someone turned up later to see if we were ok and pass on the breakfast details and WiFi passcode. The contact was pleasant enough and the facilities were fine, hot shower, tea and coffee making in the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The general demeanour of the building might put some off but we were ok with it.
