Book New Town hotels

As usual the hotel and staff were excellent.

Very friendly staff across the board. Great location to reach day trips to Sigiriya, Pollonaruwa, Anuradhapura, Dambulla, and safari/hiking, etc. and unwind/relax at the pool/spa. Lakefront is great for reading or for a morning jog. Rooms/facilities are new and well maintained. Staff goes over and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

We only stayed for 1 night but would definitely recommend the Hotel Sigiriya and would stay here again should the opportunity present itself. Nice, clean and spacious rooms. The staff, especially at the restaurant (we had a bbq dinner buffet and breakfast buffet the next morning) were amazing. So friendly, courteous and helpful. The pool and pool views of the rock were great too!

Could improve on driver accommodation

We don’t understand why there are some medium reviews about this place; it is such a beautiful eco resort, lovely surroundings, great staff, you have a view of Sigiriya Rock from the pool, there are friendly monkeys and other sorts of beautiful animals around. The staff is very polite and helpful, they arranged us a transfer for the early morning climb. The included breakfast was very extensive and delicious, the dinner is not best but not bad either. The atmosphere is lovely, so it’s worth eating there. But the village is so close, you can just walk there and eat in one of the restaurants as well, so it’s not a big issue. We definitely recommend a stay here if you’re visiting the rock!!!

Love the service, location and the competitive pricing. There are cheaper ones out there for sure but the service here is excellent. Though you may not need the mosquito net provided, I used it and felt comfortable. There’s no AC but I didn’t need it as the temp was cool at night. I would book it again for sure.
