Easy and convenient access for Ipswich

Wow what a lovely hotel, staff so very welcoming and very helpful. Room was immaculately clean. We booked one night as we had tickets to see Fishermans Friends at the Regent Theatre. Was perfect walking distance. Great view of the waterfront from our window even though we were in a room on the side. Breakfast was really well cooked. Would highly recommend. We loved our stay here

Overnight for birthday party. Easy to find, clean and tidy. Efficient taxi booking. Great breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Such a good hotel with a great location. Stagg are always welcoming and freindly. The breakfast is always great. I didn't have dinner this time but have previously and thay was also really good.

Room was a decent size for twin with good bathroom facilities

Whilst I notice other reviewers mention refurbishment, there was not much disruption when I visited (early May 2024) Plus points - Check in was easy and very welcoming. Bedroom was spacious, modern, clean and facilities in room were good. There was a bath and shower over which was nice and although the bathroom definitely did need refurbishment (was dated and showing wear and tear) it was clean, which was the most important thing. The bed was comfortable and I slept well which I don't often do in a hotel! For me a huge plus was location (very easy when coming from the west country) and the EV chargers - these were a revelation as there were several and I was able to re-charge overnight so I will definitely book this hotel again, just for this convenience. Cons - just the fact that the restaurant seemed to be closed so no breakfast option. One other thing for the hotel to note, whilst it didn't impact me, there were petrol vehicles parked in two of the EV charging bays for the duration of my stay which could have been frustrating for other EV drivers. Otherwise a great stay and IMO better that other chain hotels at a similar price point.
