It's situated 220 kilometres to the southwest of Canberra, the capital of Australia.

Mother Nature's artwork is on full display in many places around Eskdale. Just 45 kilometres away, Lake Hume is a great place to kick off your sightseeing. Lake Sambell sits 50 kilometres away and is another favourite spot to find some peace and quiet.

Once you've collected your ski pass at Falls Creek Country Club, you won't want to waste a moment getting to the top of the slope! You may also like to hop aboard the chairlift and shred the runs at Mount Hotham Alpine Resort.

Head 25 kilometres to the south and you'll reach Tawonga. It's regarded for some awesome sights, including Mt Beauty Visitor Information Centre and the Mt Beauty Golf Course.

Planning to head to Beechworth? This place is just 55 kilometres to the west. If you're setting up base here, get a map and circle Beechworth Visitor Information Centre, the Beechworth Golf Course and the Burke Museum. Also consider stopping in at Town Hall Gardens and Baarmutha Park.
