If there were ever a heaven on earth then this must surely be it… Anantara Phuket Villas,Thailand.<\/a> <\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Only 15 minutes from the Phuket International airport, on a sun-kissed, soft sandy beach lies an oasis of calm and luxury. You are completely submersed in gentle serenity immediately on arrival. It literally took my breath away.
\nAt check-in, I am told the property is at capacity, but with all 83 villas complete with their own pool, it almost felt like we were alone. Surrounded by exquisite gardens, privacy is Anantara\u2019s priority.<\/p>\n

Travelling with my daughter Tara, meant we did not require as much \u2018villa time\u2019 as perhaps some of the other, \u2018loved up\u2019 visitors, so we ventured to the main pool and beach. The infinity edge pool is stunning and the lay out of sun lounges in ankle deep water is unique and relaxing. Anantara\u2019s poolside staff are at the ready all day with ice-chilled water, fruit and refreshing towels.

It was a little too hot to enjoy the tennis courts and bikes available but I did enjoy the divine dining choices that Anantara has to offer. The Sea, Fire, Salt restaurant is a MUST for any seafood lover and the Tree House is perfect for sundowners.<\/p>\n

At first take you could easily be forgiven in thinking Anantara is geared more towards couples than families but the resort offers wonderful activities for children, that is if you can get them out of your villa’s pool.<\/p>\n

We had a very lovely stay at Anantara. I would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy places in Phuket and to enjoy the peaceful five star luxury Anantara is famous for.<\/p>\n

What brought you to Phuket?<\/p>\n

Tara – Each year mum and I have a two week holiday together, no boys allowed. We had seen a lot of really great (and CHEAP) deals on the internet for Phuket, and I was really keen to explore a bit more of Thailand so it was perfect.
\nWhat is it like traveling with your mum?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tara- Haha it\u2019s actually very cool and super easy. We know each other so well and can tell when the other is tired or stressed from the journey. We gel really well and know what each other is thinking. I get annoyed though when people around the pool or bar think we are either sisters or lesbians. Do mums and daughters not travel together anymore?!

Tara – Definitely the kebab of dog I ate from a street cart. No…not really. I love breakfast so the Anantara buffet breaky was the best part of my day! I think I ate my own body weight each morning.<\/p>\n

Tara- I can\u2019t go past the $10 hour long massage from the locals on the beach. They have hands of gold. I seriously considered marrying one of them.

Tara- Insurance Insurance INSURANCE. I had my bag stolen whilst exploring the seedy and touristy part of Phuket- Patong Beach. Luckily I have insurance and can claim it all back. Last time in Asia I didn\u2019t bother with it and broke my nose…twice.<\/p>\n
