2. Call the airline<\/h2>\n
If you\u2019re really cutting it fine, or if it\u2019s all too late and you\u2019ve definitely missed your flight, call your airline or go to one of their info counters ASAP. If they know you\u2019re at the airport, they can tell you every possible trick for zipping though to the gate as quickly as possible. And if your flight\u2019s long gone, they can at least tell you what your options are \ud83e\udd26\u200d\u2640\ufe0f<\/p>\n
3. Look for the \u2018priority\u2019 check-in lines<\/h2>\n
Have you ever noticed the multiple different lines each airline has when you\u2019re checking in for a flight? There\u2019s the standard economy one (aka the looooong one), then usually a couple of \u2018priority\u2019 ones. Well, \u2018priority\u2019 can mean anything from \u201cI\u2019m a fancy-pants Business Class traveller, woo!\u201d to \u201cArgh! I\u2019m running so late I want to cry and puke at the same time!\u201d<\/p>\n
Go for one of the late check-in lines if you can. Their signs usually say something like \u201cflight closing\u201d. But if you don\u2019t see one or if it (somehow) has a long line too, don\u2019t be embarrassed about running up to a First Class window if you see one that\u2019s free. The aim of the game is to identify yourself to your airline\u2019s staff as quickly and politely as possible.<\/p>\n

4. Listen to announcements<\/h2>\n
Your airline doesn\u2019t want you to miss your flight either! That\u2019s why they make HEAPS of announcements to let everyone know when flights are boarding, changing gates, etc. Double check your flight number and keep an ear out (is that a thing?) for any announcements about it. Some of the main ones to listen out for are gates changes (you don\u2019t want to go to the wrong place, especially if you\u2019re running late), boarding calls and the dreaded passenger announcements (where the airline calls out for you\u00a0by name \u2013 yikes!). If your plane is boarding and you\u2019re still far away from your gate, go up to ANYONE from your airline, even if they\u2019re at a different gate. They\u2019ll contact your cabin crew to tell them that you\u2019re coming, which could stop them from closing the doors \u2013 but you\u2019ll still have to hurry \ud83c\udfc3\u200d\u2640\ufe0f<\/p>\n
