This might be controversial, but Hobart<\/a> may just be my favourite Australian capital city.<\/p>\n

With hot new restaurants, cute small bars, a gorgeous harbour, some of the friendliest people I\u2019ve ever met, and arguably the best museum in the country, this small city packs a serious punch.<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t just limit yourself to the buzzing harbour-front precinct. Here are five reasons why you should spend some serious time in Battery Point<\/a>:<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> Gorgeous old-school streets<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Battery Point was settled in the earliest days of Hobart Town in the early 1800s and you can feel the history as you stroll the streets. Surrounded by classic sandstone buildings, you\u2019ll feel like you\u2019ve stepped back in time. But in a good way – a nostalgic \u201cthis is beautiful\u201d, not a cringey \u201cthis is so dated\u201d \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
