When you\u2019re planning a trip to the United States, you\u2019ll most likely have New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas already in your sights (and rightly so!) but if you want to go beyond those big three faves, you can\u2019t go past these five hidden gems.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Add these to your itinerary for an amazing US holiday adventure:<\/p>\n

    Durango, Colorado<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    When I first heard of Durango<\/a>, I had no idea where it was but after some quick Google image searches I fell in love. Durango<\/a> is a small mountain town with attitude. If you\u2019re up for a good night out, you\u2019ll find it here. A night on the town here was almost bigger than my first night in Vegas (and that was big!).<\/p>\n

    Hot tip:<\/strong> Make sure you check out Moes Bar for a dose of beer pong.<\/p>\n

    Partying isn\u2019t all that Durango<\/a> is good for, if you\u2019re the adventurous type take your pick from white water rafting (my fave!), horse riding, hiking, ziplining…the list goes on. I will warn you though…if you decide to go white water rafting, it\u2019s FREEZING! Don\u2019t say no to the wetsuit when they offer it to you.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

      Savannah, Georgia<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Savannah<\/a> is an absolute must-visit! The first thing you\u2019ll notice about Savannah<\/a> is the amount of oak trees there are. You\u2019ll be surrounded everywhere you go. It\u2019s also where they filmed Forrest Gump – you can stand where he sat on the bench and told his life story, how cool!<\/p>\n

      If you love your food, there\u2019s one place you HAVE to go to, but be warned…you\u2019ll need a very empty stomach for it – Mrs Wilkes: traditional southern food with amazing southern hospitality. If you\u2019re craving something sweet, make sure you head to Lopold\u2019s Icecream – so, so good!<\/p>\n

      If you\u2019re up for a bit of fun on a night out, don\u2019t be deterred from the historic feel of the city, there\u2019s plenty of fun to be had. Check out The Awesome Bar or Tree House Savannah but first, hit up The World of Beers.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

        Memphis, Tennessee<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        One of my favourite things about Memphis<\/a> is that you can get a horse and carriage ride pretty much anywhere in the city. We got one back to our hotel after a big night out in Beale Street and let me say…I was one very happy girl, Barney was such a cutie \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

        Beale Street is hectic but SO much fun. It\u2019s the heart of Memphis<\/a> and is full of entertainment, endless drinks (you can drink on the street) and strange sights. It\u2019s one of those places you just have to experience for yourself.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

          Sedona, Arizona<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Arizona is well known for the out of this world place that\u2019s Las Vegas, but some may not know of this gem just a couple hours south of Sin City. Sedona<\/a> has scenery that will make your heart leap at the sight of it. With stone formations seemingly poking out of the earth surrounding the city, there\u2019s plenty of hiking, biking and mountain climbing opportunities.<\/p>\n

          Some people go to Sedona for the landscape and adventure, others go to seek another kind of adventure. Sedona<\/a> is home to powerful vortexes which are believed to unleash and energy field and people travel come from all over the world to experience this energy and to start another kind of journey.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

            Anywhere in Alaska<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            When people talk about travelling to the states for a holiday, Alaska<\/a> isn\u2019t the first place that pops into most people’s heads but it should be! Incredible landscapes, wildlife, volcanoes and of course, Aurora Borealis all await you in Alaska<\/a>.<\/p>\n

            You might be put off by the thought of cold weather but summer temperatures usually sit around the mid-twenties, so you\u2019ll survive \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

            There are endless activities and things to see in Alaska<\/a> from hiking, fishing, wildlife tours and dogsledding to viewing the northern lights and snowmobile tours. Just go.<\/p>\n
