Whenever Mr LML and I go to Singapore<\/a> we always spend a night or two in the super luxe Marina Bay Sands<\/a> #treatyoself.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The main entrance is accessed by another engineering masterpiece, the Helix Bridge, which just adds to the impressive, OTT Marina Bay Sands. I don\u2019t know whether we are just lucky or what but (this time) we\u2019re picked to check in via the VIP Lounge \u2013 the difference isn\u2019t much, but it is a cool circular room that is lit up and has decadent couches and complimentary water bottles while you wait to be checked in.<\/p>\n

With nine room types to choose from we always select a Club Room or Grand Club Room. They come with complimentary afternoon tea, cocktail and canape hour (the main reason!) and all day non-alcoholic beverages \u2013 and hey, it\u2019s a holiday, why not?<\/p>\n\"\"\n

The room is almost too big – lol jks who would say that?!<\/p>\n

But seriously, the room is huge with a view that is absolutely to die for! Now for the SkyPark – the reason the majority of people stay here. The joy of MBS is that you can\u2019t access the pool unless you are staying in the resort, which is perfect because it means there is always a free sun chair and the pool isn\u2019t too crowded. There\u2019s also a kid\u2019s pool down one end, which means they can have fun and play without being in earshot of couples who just want to relax.<\/p>\n

Heaven<\/p><\/div>\n

We settle ourselves on two chairs that sit over the pool; there is no way anyone is sitting in front of this view! Kanye plays over the speakers as someone offers me a cold glass of water and a drinks menu. I HAVE LITERALLY FOUND HEAVEN. If you have read my past blogs<\/a>\u00a0you may be wondering how albino Mr LML is dealing with a SkyPark with very little shade? Never fear. He packed three cans of sunscreen spray just for the few days here – overkill much?<\/p>\n

Singapore<\/a> is hot and humid to put it mildly and on a bad day Mr LML describes it as, \u2018what the entrance to Satan\u2019s Lair would feel like\u2019 so a pool is an extremely refreshing place to hang out. Because the pool is basically the entire length of the SkyPark it means you can swim without getting in other people\u2019s space.<\/p>\n

They also have photographers who spend the whole day in the pool offering to take that ultimate MBS<\/a> Singapore skyline shot for you on their camera, or yours, if you have something waterproof.<\/p>\n

Mr LML hits his Vitamin D limit and we retreat to the lesser known, completely shaded spas, at the other side of the SkyPark. These to me are probably just as luxe as the pool but with an Ocean View rather than a City View. Usually people are so preoccupied with the pool they tend to miss the numerous private spas out the back. Each spa can fit around six people.<\/p>\n

With drinks flowing at the complimentary cocktail and canape hour, we take in\u00a0the stunning city. There isn\u2019t anything more relaxing, except maybe shopping\u2026<\/p>\n

Shopping at The Shoppes MBS<\/em> here I come!<\/p>\n

Marina Bay Sands<\/a> is home to not only Singapore\u2019s largest Casino, but it\u2019s attached to a mall that includes Gondola rides, seven celebrity chef restaurants and all of the designer brands you know and love. Everything you need is here including my favourite wardrobe staple, Zara. This is one of the quieter Zaras in Singapore, so if you\u2019re looking for some peace and quiet I\u2019d recommend making your way to Marina Bay.<\/p>\n

MBS also some some great places to eat, including:<\/p>\n

Bay Sushi<\/a> \u2013 It\u2019s the cheaper end of dining at MBS and they make the best sushi in Singapore, with \u2018out- there\u2019 rolls such as the Tortilla Roll and the Jekyll and Hyde.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t even explain this sushi, it is ah-maze-ing!<\/p><\/div>\n

Osteria Mozza<\/a> \u2013 Beautiful Italian, split over two restaurants Osteria Mozza and Osteria Pizzeria. I suggest their pasta – all of it is exquisite.<\/p>\n

Cut<\/a> \u2013 Celeb chef, Wolfgang Puck (he totes catered Kimmy K\u2019s wedding to Krumphries) brought his world famous Beverly Hills steakhouse to Singapore and it is fantastic. The d\u00e9cor of celeb photos (Denzel was directly across from me ;)), the steak, the drinks \u2013 everything is top of the line. I suggest the tuna tartare and an eye fillet of your choice. If nothing else, get a double punch bowl cocktail with whatever you order \u2013 apparently it\u2019s meant to share ;). And if you\u2019re as lucky as us you\u2019ll spot Wolfgang on one of his trips; we saw him during our stay when the F1 was on.<\/p>\n

Wolfgang Puck! Which means like one degree of separation from Kimmy K, right?!<\/p><\/div>\n

We retreat back to the hotel room via High Society<\/a> and SweetSpot<\/a>, two of my favourite cake shops, housed in MBS.<\/p>\n

On the way home the unthinkable happens \u2013 CELEB SPOT OF THE CENTURY.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s David Beckham\u201d \u2013 WHAT? We share a birthday, I played soccer, my first CD was the Spice Girls \u00a0\u2013 all the signs of the universe point towards the fact that Becks and I are\u00a0meant to be friends! (we\u2019re on best friend terms in my head so I can call him that). I instinctively try and run after him in my 6\u201d heels but Mr LML pulls me back as DB looks back at us and winks.<\/p>\n

\u201cNishi, no, he doesn\u2019t want to be disturbed, but he totally just winked at me\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s David (expletive) Beckham Cian, he\u2019s like probably the most well-known person on Earth, I need a photo with him\u201d<\/p>\n

Alas, D-Bomb has waltzed into a lift, never to be seen again and my heart sinks. To this day Mr LML has #regrets that we didn\u2019t get a photo and has not been forgiven by me.<\/p>\n

Celeb fact: David Beckham is a lot shorter in real life than you think.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s more magical at night<\/p><\/div>\n

Other night time options include Ku De Ta, which does pretty good Sangria, or the Cheese and Chocolate Buffet, which I can highly recommend. Because the cheese and chocolate buffet is served in the breakfast restaurant it is the only other way to check out the SkyPark from the inside without staying at MBS. Ku De Ta only gives you a side view and is pretty basic.<\/p>\n

What time is it?! IT\u2019S CHOCOLATE BUFFET TIME!<\/p><\/div>\n

We eventually head back to our room and fall asleep in the most luxurious bed ever.<\/p>\n

We wake, craving a work out after our boozy dinner and not so healthy dessert. We love\u00a0a good hotel gym so we head up to the Banyan Tree Fitness Club<\/a> before breakfast for a good ol\u2019 sweat out.<\/p>\n

If I could live in a gym, this is the gym I would live in. It is BEA-U-TI-FUL. As the glass doors open you are met with three attendants, one to give you a towel, one a water bottle and one to help you sign-in. The facilities are outstanding, and overlooked, as soon as you notice the view. The floor to ceiling glass windows make this glasshouse gym a dream to work out in.<\/p>\n

Mr LML is too distracted on the vibrating fat machines \u2013 which FYI do not help you lose weight.<\/p><\/div>\n
