Here are 5 more* travel hacks to add to your repertoire:

International SIM card<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It takes a lot of data to feed the beast. The beast being my addiction to Instagram<\/a>, Facebook<\/a> and BuzzFeed<\/a>. This hack is for my fellow data pigs out there.<\/p>\n

Data roaming is unreasonably expensive and when you\u2019re traveling for an extended period of time, it\u2019s not easy to go without data \u2013 I can\u2019t go a day without posting a selfie<\/a>. The most cost-effective way for me to travel with data is to purchase a prepaid SIM card for the destination where I\u2019ll spend most of my time. That way I can stalk as much as I like without the $3000 phone bill (legit).<\/p>\n

You can pick up an international SIM card from travelgear.com.au<\/a>; they\u2019ve got lots of different options to suit everyone. Make sure you always understand the pricing structure before using the data \u2013 if it costs more than $10-$15 per GB, it\u2019s too expensive.<\/p>\n

Pro Tip:<\/strong> If each of your travel buddies has a SIM it\u2019s so much easier to keep in touch with each other when you are off\u00a0feeling your oats<\/a>.

Don\u2019t be basic, learn the basics<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As I\u2019ve mentioned in previous posts, wine has largely been responsible for my lack of LOTE skills. But when you\u2019re travelling to a non-English speaking country don\u2019t expect them to speak English \u2013 that\u2019s basic.<\/p>\n

Learn how to say Please, thank you, I\u2019m sorry <\/em>and how much<\/em> in the local language. It\u2019s polite and it shows that you\u2019re trying. And if you\u2019re asking for help, people are more likely to help a sister out if you\u2019re not being a moll.<\/p>\n\"5\n

Mountains of jocks<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Your suitcase is prime real estate, so be strict. Don\u2019t pack that extra pair of dressy shoes or that extra jacket \u2013 no, you won\u2019t wear them. DO<\/strong> pack a mountain of jocks though.<\/p>\n

After a long day of running around, nothing will give you more life than slipping into a fresh pair of drawers. Even if you\u2019re not changing up your whole outfit, it\u2019ll keep you going through your night time itinerary too.<\/p>\n

Bonus: <\/strong>You might be able to avoid doing washing all together if you pack enough jocks.<\/p>\n

Portable Washing Machine<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Most hotels have a laundry service if you can\u2019t avoid doing the laundry, but they can be really expensive. Or maybe you\u2019re travelling somewhere with no laundry options at all.<\/p>\n

Pack the Scrubba<\/a>, the world\u2019s first pocket sized portable washing machine. You might not be able to do a full load but you can get through the essentials. Argh, washing on holidays.<\/p>\n
