lastminute lovely Kirsty discovers a new contender for her favourite Sydney hotel and two reasons why you should visit and she needs to go back!<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Travelling for work you don\u2019t often enjoy<\/em> your hotel stay, however staying at the Swiss\u00f4tel Sydney<\/a> (or the swish-hotel as I liked to call it) ensured my last business trip was a delight.<\/p>\n

To start with, the entrance is a stones throw away from Top Shop and nestled above Myer. I know what you\u2019re thinking and yes, the concierge was happy to watch my luggage while I did a small detour before the shops closed. After getting over my excitement about the killer location (for any red-blooded female with a credit card) I checked into a warm and charming room with a big bathroom \u2013 including a bath tub – and a city view. Woop!

After inspecting the bathroom my next post\u2013check-in activity is looking in the wardrobe. I was delighted to find the Swiss\u00f4tel trusts its customers enough to allow us to detach the coat hangers from the rail. Nothing says \u201cI trust you\u201d like detachable coat-hangers.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Along with fancy trimmings and super locations, another perk of staying in a professional five-star hotel is the Executive Club lounge. It\u2019s well worth paying for the upgraded room type; the breakfast and pre-dinner canap\u00e9s are not only all inclusive, they are delicious.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

When you\u2019re travelling solo, the Executive Club has buffet breakfast, the newspaper and the morning shows to keep you occupied through breakfast, meaning you won\u2019t run your smart phone battery flat before 10am.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Another feature of breakfast is the honey, farmed right from the rooftop where the Swiss\u00f4tel\u2019s hives live. They are part of the Urban Beekeeping program which not only helps preserve the population of bees (very important for the survival of the human race \u2013 anyone seen the movie Bees<\/em>?) it also produces delicious honey.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

I discovered that the Swiss\u00f4tel and I have another thing in common (aside from affection for being close to the shopping action) \u2013 food! Two dining experiences that are now on my wish list are their Tiered High Tea and Chandon Seafood Sunday Brunch.<\/p>\n

Since I returned to Australia after living in Bangkok, I\u2019ve been dying to relive my Sundays of over-eating at a buffet and indulging in a few bevvies. The Swiss\u00f4tel brunch looks set to meet all my expectations with Bugs, Prawns, Oysters, Crab, Salmon and \u2026 wait for it\u2026 a bottle of Chandon Brut NV each. That\u2019s $125 very well spent.<\/p>\n

A fantastic hotel, faultless location and two enticing reasons to go back – Sold!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
