Paris is by all accounts a must-visit city. With over 28 million visitors each year, you know they\u2019re onto something good.<\/p>\n

Being our second visit to Paris, Mr LML and I decide to stay a little more upmarket, and opt for the 17th arrondissement.<\/p>\n

Surrounded by quintessential French architecture and flower boxes as far as the eye can see, we know we\u2019ve made the right decision. The streets are beautiful, and although neither Mr LML or I speak French we easily find our way to our hotel.<\/p>\n

About twenty minutes and a \u20ac50 taxi from the airport, Hotel Le Pierre<\/a> is our home for the night (with 12pm check-in and check-out, we can happily spend the day here too!)<\/p>\n

Hotel Le Pierre (formerly Amarante de Triomphe)<\/p><\/div>\n

The boutique hotel has us staying in number 211, or as I call it the \u2018blue room\u2019. Wallpapered in pale blue with matching d\u00e9cor, the cosy room offers a quiet space to relax from the busy Avenue des Champs-Elys\u00e9es just nearby.<\/p>\n

The 18th century inspired interior makes for an elegant change to the standard box-room of many of the big hotel chains. But don\u2019t be fooled, the hotel still has all the mod-cons including free in-room wifi.<\/p>\n

Hot tip: <\/strong><\/em>Go to L\u2019Or\u00e9e des champs for lunch. Just metres from the Arc de Triomph, this quirky bar\/restaurant is a great spot to spend the afternoon people watching.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

You can\u2019t go to Paris and not see all the touristy sites!<\/p><\/div>\n

For brekkie the next morning we eagerly order room service. Arriving on silver tray, the traditional service is the perfect way to wake up in Paris.<\/p>\n

Paris has definitely won a space in my heart and if my travel plans (and budget!) allow, it won\u2019t be long before I rack up visit number three.<\/p>\n
