lastminute lovely, Shauna, reckons that there\u2019s nothing quite like a good Aussie camping festival. She\u2019s compiled a top ten list of what to do to make the most of your time at Falls Festival this year.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If you\u2019ve ever been to a summer camping festival, you\u2019ll know what I\u2019m talking about. Festivals are about catching your favourite bands and jumping up and down to the songs you know, hanging out with friends, and just generally, having a fun time that you\u2019ll look back on for years to come.<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n

And with the fabulous Falls Festival<\/a> about to hit Lorne in Victoria and Marion Bay in Tasmania, I\u2019ve come up with a few things to tick off this year at Falls, to ensure the best time possible. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

1. Make at least one new friend<\/strong> \u2013 There\u2019s no place better than a festival to make a new friend. Something about the sun, the music, and probably the alcohol, that puts everyone in a good mood. You never know, maybe you\u2019ll make a friend for life.<\/p>\n

2. Slop on the sunscreen<\/strong> \u2013 Don\u2019t waste time applying Aloe Vera gel after you\u2019ve burnt your body to a crisp. Don\u2019t waste everybody else\u2019s time by whinging about how much pain you\u2019re in because you were too silly to slap on some sunscreen. Think about your fellow festival-goers and get sun smart.<\/p>\n

3. Walk around the sides = get to the front<\/strong> \u2013 Crowds are painful, so don\u2019t push through them. Eminem said it best when he said go \u201c\u2019round the outside, \u2018round the outside\u201d. It saves a whole lot of barging and apologising.<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n

4. Make a rendezvous spot for your posse<\/strong> \u2013 There\u2019s nothing worse than getting lost by yourself at a festival without phone reception. Avoid the drama and organise a time and place to meet up. If you do get lost, refer to tip number one.<\/p>\n

5. Makeover now and make out later<\/strong> \u2013 Wanna guarantee yourself a NYE pash? Lorne peeps follow the pink signs on NYE to the lastminute lovelies\u2019 makeover tent and receive a much-needed nose powdering to ensure you look pash-prepped fabulous.<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n

6. Host the mother of all after-parties in your tent <\/strong>\u2013 Your fave bands have to finish at some point, but that doesn\u2019t mean you have to. Grab the nearest vuvuzela (the guy next to you is bound to have one hanging around his neck) and direct the party back to yours! There\u2019s nothing better than a post-festival kick-on to keep the party spirit alive!<\/p>\n

7. Dress to the nines<\/strong> \u2013 To mark Falls\u2019 10th and 20th anniversaries, it\u2019s a fancy dress bonanza! Don your favourite cowboy attire, onesie, or whatever floats your boat, and dance like nobody is watching (actually nobody knows who you are since they can\u2019t see your face under all of that Day of the Dead makeup). While you\u2019re at it, take a few happy snaps to commemorate the festivities. New Facebook profile pic? Tick!<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n

8. Pick up the lead singer of a band <\/strong>\u2013 No, it doesn\u2019t matter which<\/em> band, it just matters that he\/ she is in a band. Struggling for ideas? \u201cYou look so hot today (insert name here)…like a sunrise.\u201d It\u2019s in the bag. Now go forth and brag to all your mates.<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n

9. Protect your best assets <\/strong>\u2013 Bag yourself a free pair of sunnies from the roaming lastminute lovely crew to ensure rock star status. Avoid the dreaded panda eyes tan and refer to tip number two. Sorry Marion Bay kids, the sunnies are only available in Lorne this year.<\/p>\n

10. Add some fun to the toilet line<\/strong> \u2013 Waiting for the lavs, and there are about 20,000 people in front of you? Not to worry, just channel your inner Cuban chick and start a conga line! Not only will it take your mind off your nether region, but you might just conga your way to the front of the line!<\/p>\n\"<\/a>\n
