In this special guest post, fashion blogger extraordinaire, Lady Melbourne, lets us in on her top tips for taking the stress out of packing for your next trip.
Travelling has been a part of what I do for a couple of years now, which means that packing and all it entails has been drilled down to skills that could rival even the most O.C.D prone traveller.
Rolling, folding, space bags: I’ve tried it all but my biggest tip is that it’s all in your edit. You don’t actually need to take more than two pairs of shoes, one that should be on your feet when you leave the house with your roll along.
This concept took me years to realise with countless trips spent hauling (do you realise how much shoes weigh?!) suitcases around full of shoes and accessories that never left my hard case.
These days I travel with a roll along carry on only luggage. I know, hard to believe coming from a fashion blogger but if I can do it, so can you.
So with that in mind here are my tips for different kinds of holidays and the type of edit you might like to try. See if you can stick to it!

Comfortable (but stylish) flat shoes and a tote or backpack will more than likely be needed. If you need boots, then roll up your socks and underwear and pack them inside each boot to save space. Pop your jewellery in the pockets or jeans or jackets (just don’t forget it’s there!) and think about the idea of a jacket or trench coat that can be worn trans-seasonally.
So there you have it folks, the inside word on super easy holiday packing. What’s your packing style? Are there any methods you swear by? Share the love in the comments below.
