Lastminute lovelies Louise and Angela hit Melbourne Fashion Festival for the Alex Perry show.

8pm, Friday night and the Docklands are abuzz with hot young chicks, trendy fashionistas in thick rimmed glasses and flashy media types – Alex Perry is in town and everyone wants a first look at his new collection.

The music starts pumping and the first model hits the runway. An array of incredible cream and white dresses kick off the show. Slim fitting styles with modern petal detailing and sheer biege underlays wow the crowd.

Bold colours and strong silhouettes follow the cream colour palette. In true Perry style all dresses celebrate the female form with nipped in waists and flattering fabrics.

From dazzling sequins to intricate beading and slim cut lace to free flowing chiffon Perry delights the crowd with a smorgasbord of styles that would light up any red carpet or cocktail party event.

After a truly entertaining show, we are lucky enough to go backstage and meet the man himself. He’s surprisngly relaxed, despite the media crowds swarming around him, and he stops with us for a chat and a photo. Nice.
