Which hotel would you recommend for Easter?
The Royce Hotel
Why is this hotel your pick?
The Royce Hotel is one of Melbourne’s best five star designer boutique hotels and in a great spot for either the CBD, shopping in South Yarra or the beach. Their Easter deal includes free extras including breakfast, wine and chocolates. They’ll also shout you a couple of free drinks at the bar! You’ll understand where it got the name from when you arrive… it used to be the old Rolls Royce showroom.
What’s your number one insider tip for Melbourne?
The Croft Institute’ is a Melbourne institution tucked at the very end of a dead-end alley well off the beaten track in Chinatown. The quirkiest bar I’ve ever been to in my life!

Which hotel would you recommend for Easter?
Silky Oaks Lodge, Daintree
Why is this hotel your pick?
Silky Oaks is a once in a lifetime property. Located on the Mossman River, the rooms are designed so at night it feels like you are sleeping in the rainforest. No TVs and limited internet coverage means you can really escape the everyday. The food is amazing and the service is some of the best you’ll see in all of Australia.
The architecture is perfect for its setting and with only a handful of rooms it never feels crowded.
What are your insider tips?
Make sure you go for a swim in the Mossman River, it’s the freshest water you will ever see. Keep an eye out for the resident platypus! At the hotel be sure to check out the award winning spa. The barman, Darren, also makes a mean Kiwi Fruit cocktail: Kiwi Fruit Infused 42 Below, fresh muddled Kiwi Fruit, Soda Water & Crushed Ice, delicious!
