5 USA burgers your mouth hole needs

If you were in America suddenly dying of hunger and somehow, clueless to where you would find your next meal. This my friends, is the blog post for you.

Last year, I gave myself a mission to find the best burger meal in the states, (one million calories at a time).  Now, I’m not talking about boutique-style burgers, you know, the ones that come out on breadboards with cute li’l baskets of chips. I’m talking cheap, fast, chain burgers that are best eaten after ten beers.

Here’s my top five burger meals, found in LA, Vegas, New York City and San Fran.

5. Johnny Rockets, Smoke House Single, Las Vegas.

Umm, best 3am burger ever! We devoured this on our last night in Vegas, so completely broken and in need of ALL the foods. This Smoke House Single with fries brought me back to life. They also do a pretty amazing peanut butter shake, just putting it out there.

 4. Wendy’s Baconator, somewhere along the highway

A meaty masterpiece, (omg, did I just type that?), I sunk my fangs into this somewhere between LA and Vancouver. And yes, I just ordered it so future Mitzi could say she did and write this blog post. There’s also the “Son of Baconator” which has only four strips of bacon, as opposed to six. Go on, just get the Baconator.

You wont, you’re scared.

With six strips of Applewood Smoked Bacon, there’s bound to be bacon in every bite.

3. In N Out- Flying Dutchman & animal fries, LA

Although more meat patty than actual burger, I ordered this just so I could say it out loud to the cashier. This is off the infamous Secret Menu and the “burger” is legit just a meat patty sandwich with cheese. At least it’s low carb? The fries are animal style, which means it’s a glorious goopy pile of onion, cheese and thousand island dressing. Oh yeahhhh.

2. Five Guys- Cheese burger with everything, NYC

The only bad thing about this burger meal was that I was alone eating it. I had no one to make appreciative “Mmm’s” with. Lots of flavour and crunchy chips in a cup, I rate it.

 1. Shake Shack, Madison Square Park- New York City.

OH EM GEE.

The “Shack Stack” burger (which is a mix of their ‘Shroom Burger’ and a ‘Cheese Burger’) was actually the last one I ate in ‘Murica, and when I bit into that crispy, cheesy burgery goodness, I knew it was the “one.”

Wooden Spoon: White Castle, Sliders and Onion Rings, NYC.

I thought White Castle’s sliders were pretty underwhelming. If you miss this one in NYC, don’t fret, you haven’t missed much.
