Description

Spend an evening immersed in the natural wonders of Iceland with a trip that combines swimming in hot springs with views of the Northern Lights. Soak in the geothermal waters of the Secret Lagoon, feast on Icelandic specialities, and seek out views of the shimmering aurora borealis in the northern night sky.

Leave the lights of Reykjavik behind and head towards the village of Flúdir in South Iceland, just off the Golden Circle route. Grab a towel and make your way to the Secret Lagoon, a wellspring of balmy, mineral-rich water fed by nearby geothermal hot springs. Swim and bathe under the stars, and explore the area's hot springs via neat footpaths and board walks.

Afterward, make your way to Restaurant Grund for a tasty, light buffet dinner of Icelandic cuisine. With darkness now fallen, begin your hunt for the mysterious and elusive Northern Lights. Your guide seeks out remote locations in the Icelandic wilderness perfect for catches glimpses of the kaleidoscopic aurora borealis before heading back to the city and dropping you off at your hotel.

One of the best tours. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. From the guide to the lagoon, fireworks, dinner. Wish we had seen the northern lights but we will have to come back. Was fun to chase them!

The Lagoon was great and the dinner really first class. Unfortunately while searching for the northern lights the minibus slide off the road and overturned on to its side. There were no serious injuries though the driver needed to go to hospital as a head injury. Luckily we were wearing seat belts and well we were hanging half upside down for a while we all managed to get out through the emergency exit in the vehicle roof. The emergency services took us to a local site for health checks before we allowed to get a bus back to the hotels, arriving around 02.30.
