Description

Spend an evening immersed in the natural wonders of Iceland with a trip that combines swimming in hot springs with views of the Northern Lights. Soak in the geothermal waters of the Secret Lagoon, feast on Icelandic specialities, and seek out views of the shimmering aurora borealis in the northern night sky.

Leave the lights of Reykjavik behind and head towards the village of Flúdir in South Iceland, just off the Golden Circle route. Grab a towel and make your way to the Secret Lagoon, a wellspring of balmy, mineral-rich water fed by nearby geothermal hot springs. Swim and bathe under the stars, and explore the area's hot springs via neat footpaths and board walks.

Afterward, make your way to Restaurant Grund for a tasty, light buffet dinner of Icelandic cuisine. With darkness now fallen, begin your hunt for the mysterious and elusive Northern Lights. Your guide seeks out remote locations in the Icelandic wilderness perfect for catches glimpses of the kaleidoscopic aurora borealis before heading back to the city and dropping you off at your hotel.

Amazing experience, our driver ( Halldor) made the journey well worth the wait , weather conditions were bad with snow , but felt driver well in control , and so glad we went , even though we didn’t get to see northern lights due to weather . Dinner was lovely , secret lagoon was spectacular ( snowing ) wish we had be able to stay longer. Drinks expensive

Unbelievable.. went at night and it was like being in a different planet. Very relaxing and a lot bigger than it looks in photographs. I imagine it is a lot less commercial than the blue lagoon. I would love to go back.

We had an excellent night. It stared to snow while we arrived at secret lagoon. Having snow falling to your face while laying on the hot water is a very unique experience. The local food is surprisingly good. Fresh veggies from greenhouse nearby and various kinds of delicious fish. We were concerned that we will not be able to see the northern light because it was snowing. But thanks to our guide Siky who is super experienced and professional, we were able to see northern light twice! He literally found the spot from the entire cloudy sky at the perfect time to give us this great experience. Highly recommend Grayline. Highly recommend this trip, especially with Siky!
