Holidays in Teich

If 'samey' is how you'd describe your life right now, then it sounds like you need an adventure! Why not book a flight to Teich and immerse yourself in the beautiful rivers, streams and lakes of Lower Austria?

Journey approximately 20 kilometres north of Teich and you'll find the bustle of Vienna.

Gerasdorf bei Wien is only 13 kilometres away and boasts some great things to see and do. The Riesenrad and Millennium City alone will make the trip worthwhile. If you're still not convinced, you should also check out Wiener Prater.

You won't have to be on the road all day to see some nature. Just 15 kilometres out of Teich, Kahlenberg is an excellent place to get out into the fresh air. Even more peaceful surrounds are waiting for you at Lainzer Tiergarten, 30 kilometres away.

Are you wild about sports? Then you should check the event schedule at Tennis Wien Leistungszentrum, located 20 kilometres to the south in Vienna.

Feel the icy wind blow back your hair as you ski down the mountain at Zauberberg Ski Resort. If you're really chasing that fresh powder, check out Skigebiet Warth Schrocken.

Don't forget to go to other close-by sights, such as Stift Klosterneuburg and the Sammlung Essl. These are situated 4 kilometres south in Enzersfeld. Not ready to return the rental car just yet? The Fossilienwelt Weinviertel and Essl Museum are in Stetten, 5 kilometres to the southwest of Teich.

You may get the urge to set up base in Tulln an der Donau for a while. This place is 30 kilometres to the west and quite close to the Egon Schiele Museum, the Tullner Museum and Museum im Minoritenkloster. Some other nearby attractions are Pfarrkirche St Stephan and Minoritenkirche.

Pander to your adventurous side and delight in the local landscape with some tobogganing. Or, maybe you could go ice skating?
