Once you've picked up a pass and trail map at Mt. Naeba Ski Resort, you won't want to waste time making your way to the top of the mountain! You might also like to hop on the chairlift and experience the runs at Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort.
If you'd like to do some exploring, add a day trip to Kamiminochi to your travel plan. This locality is 3 kilometres to the northwest and features Yanaba Snow Park and Shinshushin cho Fossil Museum. Need more ideas? Ikusaka-mura is 20 kilometres to the south of Takafu and is proud to offer the Takahashi Setsuro Art Museum and the Azumino Chihiro Art Museum.
Omachi, 20 kilometres to the southwest, is a great little excursion You can use it as a port of call when visiting Omachi Dam, Tkase Valley and the Omachi Energy Museum. If you'd like more convincing, other close by sights include the Shiki Theater Museum and the Sake Museum.
Satisfy the adventurer within and check out the region's landscapes with some snowmobiling. Or, perhaps you could go mountain biking?
If you're looking to relax, nothing beats heading outdoors and going cycling or shore fishing.
When it's time to depart, spend the last of your holiday allowance and say one final "後でお会いしましょう (Atode o ai shimashou)" to Takafu.
Situated 200 kilometres to the southeast is Haneda Airport (HND), the closest terminal. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get there.
