This cool city has a population of around 7,000,000 people — don't be afraid to mingle with one or two of them during your stay. From the city centre, Sham Shui Po is located 5 kilometres to the north. You'll most likely be arriving from Shenzhen International Airport, so after you've picked up your suitcase you'll need to head 50 kilometres to the southeast.

Sham Shui Po is heaven on earth for sightseers. Many of the city's best attractions are dotted near this interesting neighbourhood, including Soho and the International Finance Centre. Don't forget to put the Madame Tussauds and Lan Kwai Fong on your checklist too. For a new perspective on Hong Kong, venture to Cheung Sha Wan and Tai Kok Tsui, close-by neighbourhoods just waiting to be discovered.

A terrific reason to stay in Sham Shui Po is that Ocean Park sits just 9 kilometres to the south. This internationally renowned attraction never fails to amaze and inspire.

There are loads of reasons why so many travellers head straight for the centre of Hong Kong. Pacific Place and the University of Hong Kong are just a couple of them. Alternatively, have a look around Victoria Park and Flower Market.

Broaden your knowledge of the region at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Edge Gallery, the Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Grotto Fine Art. These cultural attractions are sure to impress.

While you can easily see more and more art on your laptop these days, there's nothing like experiencing it first-hand. Explore the region's creative side at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Asia Art Archive, the University Museum and Art Gallery and the Cattle Depot Artist Village.

Ask about any special events before heading over to see the collections at the Hong Kong Space Museum, the Dialogue In The Dark, the Police Museum and the Hong Kong Science Museum.

Sitting down and watching a top-notch performance is a remarkable experience. Reserve a seat at the City Hall Concert Hall, the Sunbeam Theatre, the Yau Ma Tei Theatre and the Ko Shan Theatre for a special night out.

Finding entertainment for the kids can be a priority when going on a family holiday. Look out for the Victoria Peak Tram, the Hong Kong Central Library and the City Hall Public Library.

As we're sure you know, kids have a lot of energy. Thankfully, there are a few places close by where they can blow off some steam. Shing Mun Country Park, Snoopy World, Middle Road Children’s Playground and Lung Fu Shan Country Garden are some great choices.
