Holidays in Scott River

Your last real break feel like it was years ago? Simple — book a ticket to Scott River and you'll be away in no time!

It's situated 3,100 kilometres west of Canberra, the capital city of Australia.

Spend at least a couple of hours by the sea at Prevelly Beach or Redgate Beach.

You'll find a number of lovely natural sights outside of Scott River. Why not venture 30 kilometres to Mammoth Cave? Alternatively, experience the picturesque sights of CaveWorks & Lake Cave, 30 kilometres away.

Head over to Scott National Park for a pleasant afternoon.

Remember to visit other nearby attractions, such as the Augusta Historical Museum and Jewel Cave. These are situated 11 kilometres west in Kudardup. Don't want to head back to your hotel just yet? Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and Moondyne Cave are in Augusta, 12 kilometres to the west of Scott River.

Do a bit of shopping and see what's on offer in Witchcliffe. This destination is 30 kilometres away and close to the Amaze'n Margaret River, the Leeuwin Estate and the Stella Bella Wines. That said, you shouldn't miss the Arlewood Estate and the Swallows Welcome Winery either.

Your eyes shouldn't have all the fun while visiting Margaret River Wine Region. Give your taste buds a little lovin' too by sampling some of the local food and drink. After all, you haven't really experienced a place until you've tasted its flavours.

Traditional cuisine here often includes beef and lamb, two regularly used ingredients for which the local region is known for plating up.

Don't miss the chance to try salt and pepper squid or meat pie. These distinctive dishes are what Margaret River Wine Region is all about.

We don't think you'll need too much persuading to taste peach melba, a sweet treat that'll make you want to settle down here forever.

Life's not all beer and skittles, but there's nothing wrong with treating yourself to a cold one on occasion. While you're in this neck of the woods, ensure it's Emu Export.

Want to kick off the party? A shot of Bundaberg Spiced Rum should do the trick! Straight up or mixed — it's your call!

Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and Great Southern Shiraz are lovely backgrounds to many meals. You needn't be a wine connoisseur to know a nice drop!

Time to say goodbye to the fantastic Margaret River Wine Region region? You might only have a small amount of Australian dollars left over, but you'll be rich in amazing experiences.

Ready to fly back home? Pack up your bag, set your alarm and plan a route to Perth Airport (PER). It's roughly 270 kilometres to the north.
