Japan's capital city, Tokyo, lies around 65 kilometres to the east of Okutama.

Sitting 70 kilometres to the southeast, Yuigahama is a fabulous spot to while away an hour or two enjoying the sound of the waves. Shichirigahama also boasts some gorgeous scenery. You'll find this inviting shoreline 70 kilometres to the southeast.

Take a deep breath and admire the natural beauty of Mount Takao. It sits 30 kilometres away from Okutama. You'll also discover some peace and quiet at Chichibu Tamakai National Park, 30 kilometres away.

Nothing compares to the atmosphere of a live baseball game! Watch the Saitama Seibu Lions lock horns with the opposition on their home turf at Seibu Dome, an impressive venue 35 kilometres away in Tokorozawa.
