Holidays in Navigli

Work crushing your vibe? Ditch KPIs and boring boardroom meetings for G&Ts and good times in Navigli, Milan! This popular city has a population of around 1,200,000 people, along with plenty of adventures to tick off your bucket list. To get to Navigli from the centre of Milan, you'll need to head southwest for 4 kilometres. From Linate Airport, it's a commute of 10 kilometres to the west.

This city is teeming with things to do, and many of them can be found near Navigli. It's no simple task to pick the leading attractions, but Cathedral of Milan and Santa Maria Delle Grazie are two you shouldn't miss. The must-see sights of Teatro alla Scala and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II are also at your fingertips. For a better perspective of this city as a whole, spend some time in the close-by neighbourhoods of Giambellino and Porta Genova.

You'll never be without things to do in central Milan. Piazza del Duomo and Castello Sforzesco will capture your attention for hours. Alternatively, take a look around the Pinacoteca di Brera and Sempione Park.

The area's various cultural sites, such as the Contemporary Arts Pavillion, the Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea, the Corsoveneziaotto Arte Contemporanea and the Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea, can't be missed!

While you can see a variety of art on your computer these days, there's nothing like looking at the real thing. Immerse yourself in the region's creative side at the Modern Art Gallery, the Museo Diocesano, the Museo Poldi Pezzoli and the Studio Museum Achille Castiglioni.

Sometimes it's the most talked about exhibits that excite us the most. Other times it's a neglected object sitting in a darkly lit corner. Keep a lookout for both at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology, the Natural Science Museum, the Triennale di Milano and the Museo Teatrale alla Scala.

What better way to finish a day's activities than with a few drinks and a live performance? Check the programme listings at the Teatro Dal Verme, the Piccolo Teatro di Milano, the Teatro Ventaglio Nazionale and the Piccolo Teatro Grassi.

Kids can have the best time in rather unexpected locations. Make some memories with them at the Ambrosian Library, the Spazio Oberdan, Acquario Civico and the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense.

Travelling with kids can be draining. But don't worry, you're guaranteed a sound sleep after spending an afternoon with them at Piscina Romano Ponzio and Acquatica Park.

Take a break from your phone, unplug yourself from the worries of modern life and take in the calm of the outdoors at Monte Stella and Monumento a Mazzini.

One of the most appealing things about this place is its nearby public parks. Among the hustle and bustle, there are plenty of places to relax and read the newspaper. Parco delle Basiliche, Ex Campo dei Fiori, Indro Montanelli Public Gardens and Parco Marinai d'Italia are great options.

Quite often, the best way to get to know the locals is by strolling around the shops. Be sure to drop in at La Rinascente, Coin Mall, Piazza Portello and Armani Megastore.

The surrounding historic attractions will give you a better understanding of the area's fascinating past. Cimitero Monumentale di Milano, the Arco della Pace, the Civic Museum of Archeology and the Bocconi University have plenty of stories to tell.

Uncover the region's spiritual dimensions or just take a moment in the serene surroundings of Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio, Basilica di Sant'Eustorgio, San Bernardino alle Ossa and Chiesa di San Maurizio.
