We get it! That plane overhead let loose your inner adventurer, right? Then a trip to Hongseong might just be the answer! From here, you'll be able to venture off the tourist trail a little and explore the picturesque beaches of South Chungcheong.

The country's capital, Seoul, sits about 120 kilometres to the north of Hongseong.

The serene sounds of the natural world are waiting for you at TaeanHaean National Park. It lies just 35 kilometres away, so you don't have to be stuck on the road all day. Yeonginsan Natural Forest, 40 kilometres away, is another recommended option.

Are you curious about the area's religious side? Stop by the Jeongamsa Temple.

Go on a day trip and visit some sights in Cheongju. This place is 80 kilometres away and close to the Chungbuk National University, the Heungdeok Temple Site and the Cheongju National Museum. That being said, you won't want to miss the Cheongju Early Printing Museum and Jikji Pavillion either.
