Journey around 20 kilometres east of Faleapuna and you'll find the busy centre of Apia.
Put aside some time to witness a spectacular sunrise at Lalomanu Beach, 25 kilometres to the southeast.
Mother Nature's handiwork is on show in many places around Faleapuna. Just 25 kilometres away, Papaseea Sliding Rocks is a great place to start. Togitogina Waterfall sits 20 kilometres away and is another delightful spot to enjoy some peace and quiet.
Don't be alarmed if you encounter some fellow sightseers at Piula Cave Pool.
There's even more to see and do just down the road. Matatufu, 18 kilometres to the south, is known for To-Sua Trench and Sopoaga Water Falls. Alternatively, if the Faleata Golf Course and the Baha'i House of Worship are more your thing, go 20 kilometres west from Faleapuna to Lepea.
Your eyes shouldn't have all the fun while you're in Samoa. Give your taste buds a little love as well by tucking into some of the local food and drink. After all, you haven't truly experienced a destination until you've tasted its flavours.
