"Good value for location."
Hotel is in an excellent location and close to everything. Bathrooms are a bit dated but hotel is clean and roomy. Was only there for one night but pool area looked nice from our window. Could be a bit noisy at night. Overall good value for money.

"Nice rooms, conveniently located"
the rooms are clean and nice. There are balconies outside of most of the rooms where you can sit and enjoy the breeze. The landscaping is well done. My only criticism is that you can not open the windows, and the fact that the balcony outside is the access point for other rooms means you can not leave the shutters open (unless other guests want to see a fat lady in her underwear eating crisps, which, by the way, were really tasty)

"Easy walking distance to city and pier. "
Hotel food & wine very expensive in the hotel. Unfortunately we were floor 11 which is just below a smoking level 12. I wish we were advised of this prior to check-in, as we had cigarette butts thrown onto our balcony. We hired a car. The valet parking was terrific $20 per day... and a must as it is paid parking in the city. Most parking is only 3 hours in most spots in the city.

    Pocket Guide: Cairns

Escape to the tropical paradise of Cairns and soak up the sunny rays, surrounded by pure white sand and crystal clear waters. Cairns is the gateway to Tropical North Queensland, and our Cairns hotels are the best way to discover it all. Whether you're heading here for the snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming, adventure sports, day spas or just to chill in a hammock on the shore, you won't be disappointed.

    Things to do

The number one attraction here, not to be missed, is the famous two million year old World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef, which you can explore by taking a boat from the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. This massive, watery playground is the perfect place to go snorkelling and scuba diving and will amaze even the most experienced of divers because each of the 2,900 reefs is unique and every dive is a new experience.

The reef isn't the only World Heritage-listed attraction in the area, though. Just two hours north of the city is the exceptionally beautiful Daintree Rainforest, so make sure you take a trip up to see it and stop along the way at Mosman Gorge.

Thrill seekers will be very pleased with the range of adventure sports offered in Cairns. There's everything from skydiving to bungy jumping, white water rafting to jet skiing, boating to zip lining, quad biking or mountain biking through the rainforest!

If you're after something a bit more laid-back, you can spend the day being pampered in one of the spas and then wander around the Cairns Regional Gallery or do a bit of shopping at Cairns Central. To pick up some lastminute souvenirs, hot foot it to the Cairns Night Markets, which are on every night between 5pm and 11pm.

The Flecker Botanic Gardens and Cairns Tropical Zoo are also a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon or, if you're a real animal lover, you can spend an evening at the Cairns Night Zoo.

The weather in Cairns allows you to enjoy any of the al fresco cafes along The Esplanade where you can sip on some locally grown coffee at any time of the year. While you're here, indulge in tropical fruit and tons of fresh seafood, all washed down with a delicious beachside cocktail.

    Getting Here and Around

The Cairns Airport is only 6km from the city centre and you'll find it a breeze to get around the place on public buses and trains. If you're keen to do a bit of exploring, there are also plenty of coach buses that can take you to the major attractions, or you could always hire a car for a bit more independence.

To start enjoying this incredible tropical oasis, book your Cairns accommodation with us and your flights to Cairns too, and live every lastminute!
