"Charge for debit account payments"
When I finalised my account I was advised I would be charged a 1.3% fee even though I was using a debit account. I'm not sure that is legal in Australia. There was a sign on the Reception Desk counter addressing fees for credit card payments, but not debit accounts.

The room was a lot smaller than I was expecting. The beds were very small. There was no one at the entrance when I arrived to help me with my luggage which was a little dissappointing.

Mayfair Hotel

45 King William Street, Adelaide - Map
"Very well located stylish hotel."
The Restaurant at the hotel is a beauty. The wait staff are knowledgeable, service oriented and good humored. Cuisine was on par with the meals we enjoyed on our wine tour and this is high praise indeed. The hotel itself is a efficient well priced and comfortable accommodation. Rooms a bit skinny on amenities and Henesssy bar has confused decor.

    Getting around

Hiring a car will help you cruise around Adelaide and beyond with ease. But is it essential? No way! Adelaide Airport is just seven kms from the city centre, and catching a shuttle is a cinch. Jumping on the tram through the middle of the city is free, and it takes you all the way to Glenelg. There are buses and trains throughout the city and to areas like the Adelaide Hills, as well as taxis for those big nights out. This city is easy (and pleasant) to walk around, too. If you’re convinced, snap up some Adelaide accommodation and live every lastminute in Adelaide.
