Jetstar is Australia's newest budget carrier, and a subsidiary of Qantas. They began flying in Australia in early 2004, and within Asia later the same year. Jetstar's entry to the budget airline scene in Australia has promoted greater competition, and helped push air ticket prices down, as they compete with Virgin Blue for passengers. Aboard Jetstar Airways

Jetstar operate a new fleet of Airbus A320-200 aircraft within Australia and New Zealand with leather seats and a capacity of over 170 passengers. The cabins in the flight, apart from having comfortable seats, have food and drinks available for purchase.
