The bungalows are made in the traditional Melanesian way...the communities get together, the men pull and carry the timber and bamboo, the women weave the grass matting and amidst a lot of laughing and singing, a house is born out of many hands work. One of these bungalows, each with its own name, is your home while you are here in Tanna. Friendly bungalows is owned and operated by well known Poppys on the Lagoon in Port Vila and managed locally by local managers, Mary and Jessel Niavia

Getting There
Flights from Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, to Tanna take approxiamately 45 minutes and can be booked directly with Air Vanuatu.
Due to the remote location of our property, and the fact that there is no public transport on Tanna, it's compulsory to pre-book your arrival transfers. Please contact Friendly Bungalows via email prior to your arrival to confirm when you will be arriving.
