Tucked away at the end of our own private lane, 300 yards from a country road on the north eastern outskirts of Burgess Hill. We’re surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, including foxes, badgers, deer, rabbits and squirrels. Our chickens and ducks are also an endless source of amusement to our guests.

Accommodation comprises:
Country View Suite:
A fully self-contained ground floor private suite of rooms with its own front door. Furnished and fitted to a very high standard, specifically designed for 2/3 adults. It comprises a lounge/dining room with galley kitchen, double bedroom and large en suite shower room/W.C. Comfortable sofabed in lounge accommodates 3rd person. In addition the fully fitted kitchen area gives you the facility to self-cater for a lunch or evening meal if so required. It is also the ideal environment for our less mobile guests.

Other rooms, all en suite, are on ground and first floor levels.
All are attractively decorated with colour co-ordinated bed linen, towels and bathrobes. Each has LCD TV, clock/radio/alarm, fully stocked beverage tray, complimentary bottled waters, central and supplementary heating, hairdryer, iron, trouser press, ceiling fan. Free Broadband WiFi internet access is available in all rooms. Direct dial telephones in all rooms with free calls to 36 countries.

We offer a very extensive and flexible breakfast menu, including an 8 item English breakfast. Vegetarian & celiac options are available.

Guests are welcome to use our mini-gym, Hot Tub and covered, heated (all year round) swimming pool.

We operate a strictly non smoking policy within the house and leisure facilities, but you are free to smoke in the grounds. Regrettably we are unable to accommodate children under 12 years or pets (assistance dogs, of course, are always welcome).

Haywards Heath is 2 miles to the north, and Brighton 10 miles south.
Wivelsfield main line station is 15 minutes walk, with 4 trains an hour to Gatwick, Croydon, Brighton & London. There is also an hourly service to Lewes & Eastbourne. The town centre is about 1½ miles away

There are many attractions nearby. In fact, over 40 National Trust locations are under 1 hour drive, the closest being only 15 minutes. Additionally there are many privately owned estate gardens open to the public. All are particularly popular during the rhododendron and azalea flowering season. Wakehurst Place, Ardingly, with its millennium seed bank, and managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, is only 15 minutes drive.

Railway enthusiasts will find the Bluebell Railway, Lavender Line, Spa Valley Railway & Kent & East Sussex Railway within easy driving distance.

Popular also is the Royal Pavilion in Brighton. Combine this with a trip to the Brighton Marina, the largest in Europe. Our supply of information leaflets will leave you no shortage of ideas during your stay.

Getting There
By road: From M23/A23 Hickstead, follow A2300 to Burgess Hill. Then follow signs at every roundabout for Wivelsfield station. Pass under the railway bridge, 100 yards turn left into Valebridge Road. After passing end of speed limit signs look for an oak tree on corner of Homestead Lane 100 yards on the right. The Homestead is located at the end of the lane, through the double iron gates.

By train:- Wivelsfield station, on the London/Brighton/Eastbourne main line is 15 minutes walk.
Taxi's are available at Burgess Hill station, 1½ miles.

Bus: Services 33 (local) and 40X (Haywards Heath -Brighton) pass the end of the lane.

Helicopter: Landing facility available on the premises.
