Each of the 48 en-suite bedrooms have been individually designed and furnished in a style reflective of their creators, with famous names such as Mulberry, David Hicks and Crabtree all having contributed to the Hotel’s unique appeal. There are also 2 cottages located on the grounds, each with a lounge and kitchen area. Whichever guests choose, they will enjoy a restful night’s sleep and a truly memorable stay. Dining at Stapleford Park means delicious food and friendly service complemented by the uniquely elegant surroundings of the 2 AA Grinling Gibbons dining room. Committed to creating high quality gourmet cuisine using locally sourced produce and ingredients. The venue itself is richly decorated with 17th Century wood carvings and elegant chandeliers, cultivating an atmosphere just as sumptuous as the menu. For more informal dining, they also offer a tempting selection of dishes which can be served either on the Terrace, in the Lounge or in the Old Kitchen. Alternatively guests can also dine in The Pavilion while overlooking the Championship golf course.
The surrounding area is home to a wealth of fabulous attractions and tourist spots, all just a short distance from the Hotel. Just outside Grantham is the idyllic Belvoir Castle and gardens. Home to the Duke and Duchess of Rutland, it contains a fantastic collection of paintings, sculptures and furniture and is host to many spectacular events throughout the year including Medieval Jousting Tournaments, musical evenings and the annual Fireworks Fiesta. Further historical delights can be explored at the Burghley House. Getting There
Stapleford Park is located in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside, just an 11 minute drive from Melton Mowbray, 20 minutes from the A1, 30 minutes from Grantham and less than two hours north of London. What’s more with free on-site parking, it is both convenient and accessible. Grantham Train Station offers excellent transport links to the rest of the country, including regular services to Kings Cross, there is also a local station at Melton Mowbray. For those flying in, East Midlands Airport is roughly a 50 minute drive away, whilst the Hotel also has its own helicopter pad.
Travelling from the South, take the A1 north from London towards Grantham. Leave onto B676 sign posted Colsterworth and Melton Mowbray. Drive 9 miles through Saxby, and then turn left at the signpost to Stapleford. Alternatively travel via M1 and leave at J21A, sign posted A46 Leicester and Newark, and follow the A607 Melton Mowbray. Follow ring road A607 and signs for Grantham, stay in the right hand lane until the Grantham road turns left. Drive straight across the traffic lights, following signs for B676 to Colsterworth and Stapleford. After 4 miles turn right to Stapleford. The Hotel is approximately 200 yards on the left. From the North, Leave the M1 at J24, through Kegworth on the A6 then follow A6006 to Melton Mowbray. From here follow as above.
