Overview
The Muses House is a newly refurbished boutique hotel, once an antique Greek villa, tucked away amongst the narrow streets of this typical Turkish village a few miles from Ephesus and the Aegean coast. It provides to discerning travellers five individually designed rooms in a serene and restful setting.

Lying within the village the hotel is surrounded by ancient white washed walls. There are two courtyards, one with a swimming pool, the other a verdant oasis of tangled greenery.

In this lovely setting, guests can have their breakfast or other meals on their own terrace or in the courtyards. All our food is carefully prepared to a high standard and we are fully licensed with a selection of wines and spirits.

The hotel, which is designed to be private and very comfortable, is in great contrast to the working village that surrounds it. However, in harmony with our surroundings, we go to great lengths to do all that is possible to minimise our impact on the environment; we have solar heating and use local produce and labour.

The large reception room has a wood burner in the fireplace for cool spring or autumn evenings. There is a baby grand piano, an extensive library, board games and playing cards.

Free Wifi operates throughout the hotel and there is also an IPAD for the use of guests.

There are two mountain bikes that may be borrowed.

Whilst the muses of Greek antiquity are the inspiration for the rooms, their furnishings are a mixture that reflects a Turkish aesthetic and international design.

Each room is different and some have hand painted furniture. Clio & Erato have four-poster beds and the latter, being the only upstairs room, has a small private balcony.

High ceilings keep rooms cool and tranquil during the hot summers and if needed, there is airconditioning. The spacious bathrooms have large modern walk-in showers except for Clio, which has a large bathtub and hand shower; there are hairdryers and bathrobes.

Complimentary tea/coffee/water and soft drinks are provided. There are the usual modern amenities - a flat screen TV/CD/DVD system and free wireless internet.

Two twin-bedded rooms are available for single use at a reduced charge.

Getting There
Location
70Km south from IZMIR International Airport (ADB), 15Km from Ephesus (Selcuk) and 11Km from the Aegean coast and the resort town of Kusadasi.

From IZMIR Airport and the NORTH

Exit the airport and turn left then follow the road to AYDIN.

Select the GREEN motorway route when you see the sign about 10km from the airport. You will need to PURCHASE a motorway pre Pay Card BEFORE you enter the Motorway. It is used at THE END of the journey at the exit point. Each Journey debits the card 2-2.5TL

Once you have entered the Motorway, take the direction to AYDIN and EFESUS. The road is the E87/O.31. Stay on this motorway for 36KM (about 22-25 minutes) until you see a sign for Selcuk and Ephesus, and then take this exit.

Stay on this road for 13Km ( about 12-15 minutes) This road will take you through Selcuk.

Stay on this road all the way through Selcuk (do not take the Kusadasi turning in Selcuk at the MAIN CROSS ROAD) and you will then climb through the hills for 13 Km ( about 12-15 minutes) and when you are at the top of this hill and start going down, you will see a large overhead sign for ‘Kusadasi’.

Turn turn right at the sign. Be careful though as the turning is not very obvious and is just before the petrol station. This will take you into Camlik with the TRAIN MUSEAUM on your left and you will quickly pass over a railway line in about 0.6 Km.

Stay on this road and DO NOT turn right at the next ‘Kusadasi’ sign - in other words keep to the left fork (there is a sign to 'KIRAZLI 9km' and also a small green signboard with our hotel name on it at this fork) and follow this winding country road for 5KM ( about 7 minutes) and you will pass through a village called Gokcealan.

Contine and Kirazli is the next village after a further 2.4KM ( about 4 minutes ). As you enter the village you will pass the Kirazli Koy Sofrasi (village restaurant) and immediately after that there is a left fork in the road - again you will see our Green Hotel sign - then up a small hill keep going straight ahead and you will come into the village square (its more like a small roundabout).

You can park the car anywhere in the square and the hotel is on the road straight ahead of you with the entrance to the hotel is on the left hand side. The drive takes just over 1 hour.

From the SOUTH



Take the motorway to IZMIR, exit at the Selcuk turnoff and follow the instructions above. If coming from the SOUTH via the coast, take the road to KUSADASI and turn right at the main traffic lights to AYDIN ( the opposite road takes you to the town centre) - the road now winds up hill and after about 10KM you will reach YENIKOY, and within 100 mtrs from the town sign, you will see the mosque on the left and a sharp right hand turn to CINAR - stay on this road and carry on through until a T junction in the next village of GOKCEALAN, Turn right and follow instructions above.
