Chef Chom's Thai Restaurant
Located by the Lobby, offering spectacular views over the bay. The breakfast is enjoyed in the international buffet style with fresh-from-the-oven bread, rolls and croissants from our open bakery. A-la-carte is also available. Only Thai dinner is served in the evening. Special theme nights are held here once or twice a week.
The restaurant was given the name after our Chef who has been working with us for more than 20 years since the old Imperial days. She has taught no less than 500 cooks throughout her career.
Chef Chom comes from an old family of cooks serving in the palace of the late Princess Vibhavadi Rangsit, a member of the Royal Family in Bangkok. She was a graduate of the Cordon Bleu in London. One of the highlights of her career was that she was Keith Floyd’s collaborator when Keith was making his BBC Far Flung Floyd: Thailand programme many years back.
Po-Lad beach Bistro & Bar
Down on the beachfront, Po-Lad Beach Bistro & Bar is buzzing throughout the day. Po-Lad serves a range of contemporary Thai, Chinese and Western dishes for lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the day. Po-Lad is the ideal spot for those who prefer not to venture far from their sun lounger, and the laid-back bar is popular in the evenings for drinks under the stars.
The Butler’s restaurant offers an intimate fine-dining experience; situated on the hillside exclusively reserved for peace and quiet, this small but compelling restaurant seats just 20 . The best local ingredients are prepared in the classic French style by Executive Chef, Alvin Tan Kian Chee, serving tasty Pan-Asian and European cuisine in an intimate atmosphere overlooking a crescent-shaped swimming pool.
The Butler’s Restaurant stands out for its intimate & tranquil ambience; therefore, it would be highly appreciated if guests with children under 12 years old used either Po-Lad Beach Bistro or Chef Chom’s Thai Restaurant. Alternatively, a baby sitter can be arranged through Guest Relations.

One of the most attractive aspects of The Tongsai Bay is its spa. Set amidst the hotel’s natural green surroundings, Prana Spa provides a selection of therapeutic, healing and restorative treatments, which can help control or decrease stress and thereby lessen susceptibility to stress-related ailments.
Many of the spa’s treatment programmes use original recipes created from local ingredients and herbs. One such programme is Samui Dream; a package created from a traditional Thai remedy that combines coconut oil and herbs in a way that heals sunburned skin.
What’s more, each spa cottage is equipped with two massage beds, two treatment beds, two easy chairs for foot treatments, a steam room, and an open-air bathtub for floral baths.
Tongsai's Beach
Our peaceful and secluded Beach is by no means small; at 200 meters long it never gets crowded even when all rooms are fully occupied. Although the sand is a little coarse, it is natural and with the steep slope from the beach down to the sea the water is rather deep just a short distance from the shore, making it an ideal bay for swimming in and also using the non-motorized water sports we have on offer.
Drinks are also available to be served on the beach just by raising a small flag as a signal to our friendly staff.
Facilities include sailing boats, kayaks, windsurfers and snorkeling equipment (subject to availability). We resent motorized water sports since we feel that they are dangerous, inconsiderate, and not compatible with our peaceful bay. Thus there are no jet skis, wakeboarding or water-ski service at The Tongsai Bay.
'Ga-La' Recreation Room
Located diagonally opposite the lobby area, this air-conditioned recreation room has a projector TV for the sports fans, CD/ VCD/DVD library, plenty of 2nd hand books as well as quite up-to-date magazines, table football and a pool table. This is exactly the place if you want to hang out, have some drinks, play pool or get sociable. It opens from 11:00 am until midnight.
