Overview
The hotel consists of five shop-houses built in 1929 and features 32 individually designed rooms decked in a mix of classic designer and retro vintage furniture. Guests will find that no two rooms are alike, with everything from furnishings and beds right down to the unique clear glass bathrooms.
Hotel 1929 also offers two specially designed suites with outdoor baths set in tropical roof gardens that overlook the bright lights and bustling streets of charming Chinatown. Unique, hip, and comfortable rooms that are stylish yet truly affordable.
**Hotel 1929 will be undergoing a major face lift from 05 March to 26 April 2013. Please note that there will not be any lift access to all floors during this period and there will be some noise disruption as we spruce up our rooms for a fresh new look. With this refurbishment, we hope to welcome everyone back to a fresher outlook in 2013!**

Getting There
From the Airport:
Changi International airport is about 20km east of the city centre. A one way airport transfer booked through the hotel costs S$55 from 7am - 10pm (S$65 from 10pm - 7am) upon request; or about half that if you take a taxi from the stand outside the Arrivals Hall. Or you can jump into an airport shuttle - a six-seater shared maxicab departing every 15-30 minutes between 7am and 11pm - which will take you to any hotel in the centre for about S$8++.
