The Homestead is located just two minutes from the access roads to three ski fields, the Cardrona Alpine Resort, Waiorau Snow Farm and Snow Park NZ. The Homestead is also less than 2 kilometres from the world famous Cardrona Hotel, New Zealand's oldest hotel, famous for its apres-ski. Coronet Peak and The Remarkables ski fields are only 40 minutes to the South with Treble Cone ski field 30 minutes to the North. There is also 60 kilometres of mountain bike tracks adjacent to the Homestead.

Waiorau Homestead's sophisticated interior has an elegant and comfortable feel. The lodge boasts three stylish guest bedrooms, two Queen Rooms with ensuites, and one King/Twin Room with a private bathroom featuring a spa-bath. Guests can relax in the warm and tastefully decorated private guest lounge and dining room. The exclusive guest lounge has all the comforts of home – games, library, large log fire and computer with internet access. Complimentary wireless internet access is available throughout the house.

Enjoy a sumptuous gourmet breakfast either in the guest dining room or on the veranda during summer months.

You may join us for a delectable dinner, available by arrangement, which is prepared from only the freshest local produce from the lodge’s own vegetable garden and orchard. Locally sourced Cardrona lamb, beef, venison, as well as trout and salmon, are all offered on a seasonal basis.

Delicious packed lunches are available on request for those going skiing, hiking or on day excursions.

In the evenings take in some magical stargazing from the comfort of the outdoor spa pool, or enjoy a glass of locally produced world class Pinot Noir wine in front of the outdoor fire.

Getting There
By Car...

From Wanaka (20km): Take Cardrona Valley Rd towards Queenstown and turn into the sign posted Snow Farm access road on the left.

From Queenstown (35km: Take SH6 towards Cromwell, at Arrow Junction take the Crown Range Rd towards Wanaka and, 2km past Cardrona Historic Hotel, turn into the Snow Farm access road on the right.

By Plane...

Airport pick-ups can be arranged from Queenstown and Wanaka airports.
