Terrace Downs Resort offers a unique one-stop New Zealand getaway destination located just twenty minutes from the Mt Hutt access road and within an easy hour's scenic drive of Christchurch International Airport. Perched on the edge of the spectacular Rakaia River, the Resort boasts stunning views up to Mt Hutt and is within close proximity to various ski fields.

The grand clubhouse provides various flexible meeting areas catering for groups of up to 120 delegates, while the High Peak room and century-old Shearer's Quarters have something special to offer the smaller groups.

Getting There
Via Christchurch - Darfield
Drive West on the Main West Coast Road (SH 73) through Yaldhurst. Stay on SH73 until you come to Darfield (approximately 25 minutes). Turn left at the end of the town to Methven and Mount Hutt on SH 72. Take this road, passing through Glentunnel. After 37km SH72 turns sharp left (at the Windwhistle Garage). Take the road straight ahead (be very careful of the turn) with the garage on the left, this will join you up with Coleridge Road - continue for 6kms until you reach Terrace Downs.
Follow the yellow A.A. signs. Look for the rock-walled entranceway on your left.
Via South - Inland SH72
From Geraldine travel North along SH 72 on the inland scenic route, Follow the signs to Mount Hutt and Rakaia Gorge. When you reach the Gorge cross over the two bridges, continue on the main highway right to the top of the Gorge and take the first road on the left (Coleridge Road) which directs you to the resort, following the yellow A.A. signs.
Parking Info
All accommodation has either a remote controlled garage or a covered car port. There is also plenty of parking at the Club House for diners, golfers and casual guests.
