Overview
The Rising Trout B&B is our lakeside home where a warm kiwi welcome awaits our many guests. We are located on beautiful Lake Rotorua (at the top of the lake) providing extremely comfortable accommodation very close by world renowned fishing spot - the Ohau Channel.

Serenity, birdlife and wonderful sunsets are features of this tranquil place. Three rooms are available. The Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout Suites are located on the upper floor and a double room with ensuite on the ground floor. All suites are well appointed each with en suite, luxury bedding, glorious lake views, tea/coffee making facilities plus all usual comforts of home. These include access to an extensive home library and very comfortable fireside and lakeside seating. Look forward on a warm evening to taking a rug and glass of NZ wine and sit by the lake watching the water change into amazing colours as the sun sets. A blissful end to your Rotorua day.

On arrival look forward to a welcoming cup of tea/coffee and some home baking after your long drove. At 5pm each day there is a complimentary happy hour. A great time to chat and plan your next day. Close by attractions include free use of our kayaks (just a few steps to waters edge), lakeside fishing, lakeside golf and white water rafting whilst many other of Rotorua's famous attractions are but a short drive. These include exciting geothermal 'Hells Gate", stunning Hamurana Springs and Okere Falls scenic walks and visits to our equally beautiful neighbours Lakes Rotoiti, Rotoma and Okataina.

Dining out - just a 5 minute walk to a wonderful lakeside restaurant.

Rotorua's international airport is very close by with the CBD an easy 15 minutes. Our home is sulphur free.

We, and our well behaved family animals - 'Elsie' our Scottish Terrier and 'Millie' our British Blue cat, all look forward to your arrival. We love it here and you will too.

Getting There
Take State Highway (SH) 30 north out of Rotorua town. Go past airport (on left) to intersection SH 30/SH 33. Drive through intersection. You are now on SH 33. Drive 3km onwards to Mourea. Look for "Happy Angler" store sign. Just before store take first turning on left into Takinga Street. 200m further, take next turning to left into Waana Street. We are at very end of this short road. Look for Rising Trout sign and that welcoming 'cup of tea'
